What does it cost to send a parcel with DPD?
That depends on the parcel type, the weight, the destination and your shipping options. The rate calculator gives you an indication based on your number of shipments, the parcel type and the destination. You'll see the exact rate for your shipment in your account, before you create the label.
How large can a DPD parcel be?
A DPD parcel can be up to 100 cm long and 20 kg. If you have your parcels collected, that's 175 cm and 31.5 kg.
Surcharges may apply to your shipment, including:
Energy surcharge
Tyre surcharge and tyre peak surcharge
NSP, for shipments that fall outside the standard dimensions
Some of these you can avoid, for instance by choosing a different parcel type or smaller packaging. MyAnalytics shows you which surcharges you've paid and which ones you can prevent in future. The full overview of dimensions and surcharges is in the carrier specifications.
Shipping and delivery options with DPD.
DPD shipments are insured up to € 520 as standard. If you want Saturday delivery, you select that per shipment. The more options your customer has at checkout, the better the chance there's one that suits.
Collection is included.
With DPD shipments to residential or business addresses, the pickup service is included as standard. If you send more than 300 parcels a month, you can book a one-hour window for collection.

Returns with DPD.
Your customer drops their return off at a DPD location or has it collected. A return shipment costs the same as an outbound one. Your customer creates the return in your returns portal and gives the reason, so you can see why products come back.
